This Privacy Policy is issued by Emergency Medical Services Pty Ltd atf EMSAS Trust (ABN 23 791 570 058), Registered NDIS Provider 4050012974, trading as Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Explains what kinds of personal information we collect and how, how we use and disclose it, how you may access and correct it, and how to complain about our handling of it.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect personal information reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, including:

• name, email address, postal address, phone number
• information you provide when registering on our website, purchasing a product, entering promotions or contacting us
• publicly available information you post online (comments, usernames, images)
• information obtained in the normal course of business (calls, emails, meetings, credit agencies, mailing lists)

We do not collect sensitive information unless required by law or with your consent. You may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym where lawful and practicable.

3. Non-personal information and cookies

We may collect non-personal information such as IP addresses and browsing behaviour using cookies. Cookies help us improve our websites but do not personally identify you. You can refuse cookies through your browser settings.

4. How we use and disclose personal information

We use or disclose personal information only for the purpose it was collected, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or as required/authorised by law.

Some recipients may be overseas. By providing your information you consent to such disclosure.

At collection you may “opt-in” to marketing communications. You may “opt-out” at any time by using unsubscribe links or contacting us directly. We will comply within five business days.

You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting our Privacy Officer (details below). We will respond within a reasonable time and may require proof of identity.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. Only authorised personnel and service providers have access on a need-to-know basis.

8. Third-party websites

Our websites may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact our Privacy Officer. We will investigate and respond as soon as practicable. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
